Eulogies Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones persist in remembering the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has passed that I can now articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "As we began sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the film, remarking that he doesn't recollect "one day without joy".

"The movie is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a different tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the main character.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

This week, a Los Angeles court official ruled to block the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order placed a security hold on the investigation to limit the public release of "all case details, notes, reports or photos" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a public database noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

Following the tragedy, public figures offered different comments.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering divisive remarks that were widely condemned by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the detractors recently. Conversing on his show, Rogan labeled the comments as "disappointing" and implied they showed a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by suggesting that an associate could have stepped in when the impulse to speak on the death was made.
