Offspring of Previous South African Head of State Zuma Refutes Terror Charges as Legal Proceedings Commences
The child of previous South African Leader Zuma has denied all charges to terror-linked accusations at the beginning of her court case in the port city of the city of Durban.
Zuma-Sambudla, 43, is being charged over remarks she posted on social media four years ago during deadly unrest in South Africa that occurred subsequent to the arrest of her dad.
A seven-day period of anarchy in multiple regions of the country in the summer of 2021, including plundering and intentional burning, resulted in at least 300 individuals deceased and led to damage worth an estimated 2.8 billion dollars (£2.2 billion).
She has been charged of encouraging this unrest and is charged with charges of incitement to commit terror acts and public disorder.

The demonstrations were focused in the regions of Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal and followed the ex-leader's apprehension for disobeying a judicial ruling to appear as a witness at an inquiry into allegations of corruption while he was serving as president.

The defense has stated that the evidence presented by prosecutors is insufficient and lacks compelling proof for a conviction.
