It has been confirmed that original actors Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are set to appear once again in the latest chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The project is now in the works.
A Significant Return to Panem
Lawrence and Hutcherson are slated to play Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the roles they originated. It is believed their roles will likely occur in a brief glimpse ahead, as the main film series concluded with their characters married and with children.

Sunrise on the Reaping draws its story from a recent book by series creator Suzanne Collins. It will be the second prequel film after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Returning to the director's chair is Francis Lawrence, who has helmed the majority of the previous films in the series.
