Trump's Family Member Gets Professional Tips from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete has substantial online following
Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent backers as she begins her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, received a tournament invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates numerous golf courses and frequently competes against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she revealed.
She mentioned that her grandfather, unable to come, told her: "Simply stay calm."
"My grandpa practically told me to compete and have fun," she explained.
"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's occupied with world affairs, making him somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, the golfer has competed in only three events recently and has the 461st position in AJGA listings.
Yet she can get advice from Tiger Woods, who is dating her mother.
"He is the greatest golfer worldwide," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's an even better individual. He suggested me to play, enjoy myself, and go with whatever happens."
She'll challenge some of the biggest names in women's golf at the Annika, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that Kai's presence brings the sport to new audiences, specifically reaching youth audiences.
The social media influencer maintains a massive following and just introduced an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
